VENTURA 130 Ultra Low Energy Use Dryer and Cooler

Installed in Marl Germany January 2007, the VENTURA is drying sand at 6% inlet moisture and 0.3% discharge moisture, using less than 1.2 therms per ton!

VENTILEX Fluid Bed Dryer installed at Basalite, Dixon CA. At this installation, sand, gravel, and masonry sand are mixed together to be dried at the same time. This VENTILEX Fluid Bed Dryer is evaporating 10 tons of water per hour! This is one of the largest continuous fluid bed dryers in operation in North America.

Installed in 2005, this VENTILEX Fluid Bed Dryer and Cooler takes advantage of advanced energy recovery and management systems. The input moisture typically varies daily from 8 to 12 % by weight. The controls adjust the drying according to the inlet moisture automatically. The entire drying plant is run by one person, who also oversees the packaging plant.
